feeding the ducks

We went to Gardener Village with my friend Sandi and her son Oscar and we fed some ducks, geese, and even some cat fish.  I didn't know that fish ate bread.  Gardener Village is one of my favorite places on Earth to be at.  The geese just had some babies, so we got to see them and walk around and look at all the things we wished we could buy if we had the money.

These fish were amazing!  I had more fun feeding them than I did the ducks.

Lucy was eating more of the bread than she was throwing it.

I just loved this sign. It gave me a good laugh.

happy birthday, lucy!

Lucy is now 2 years old!  She is not my baby anymore.  It was a fun day, though.  Travis and I both got the day off of work to spend time with her.  We opened presents in the morning (which Lucy enjoyed), then we went to the Aquarium and saw the Otters and Penguins, then we bought the kid's pizzas at Papa Murphy's and got to make them ourselves.  Lucy had a blast making hers and eating it. Then we took a nice long nap.  It was the perfect day!

Yes, it is Christmas paper, but that is all we had at the time.

I love her cute little feet!

She got brave and touched the water, but not the Sting Ray.

She is pointing to a penguin.  They were her favorite part of the Aquarium.

We smashed a penny for her birthday.  She liked turning the wheel and watching the penny get smashed. I'm going to own a penny smashing machine one day.  They are so cool!

easter

So I know it is June, but it has taken me a while to blog with all my pictures.  So here are some pictures from our Easter hunt adventures.

Here is Lucy at her daycare doing an Easter Egg Hunt.

This is our family Easter Egg Hunt at my Aunt's house.  Lucy was starting to get the hang of things.

lucy's first fieldtrip

My sister is in a daycare class at her high school and they went to the Children's Museum (I think that is what it is called) and Bailee invited my mom, my niece, and Lucy to go with them.  Lucy had so much fun and I really wished I could have been there, but now I have ideas for how to celebrate Lucy's  2nd birthday coming up.

It was funny, because Lucy's favorite part was riding the bus.  When my sister asked her if she liked riding on the bus, Lucy said, "I love it!"

hope through hard times

I watched this Mormon Message and it really hit home with me.  I find myself worrying about things or being afraid and this message helped to remind me why we are here and what is really important.  We have no need to fear when we truly know who we are and who is there with us through our hard times.  It is such a beautiful message.

fun at the library

Lucy and I went on a trip to the library to explore.  We went and played in the Kids Corner, then read some fun pop up books, then we found some fun movies to take home and watch.  I guess I didn't realize how much you can do at the library and how much fun I could have there.  I may have to add the library to our regular routine.  I love that we live so close to our library and I just found out that they are building a new library right behind us, so we will be able to walk to it when it opens.  I am so excited!  I'm also looking forward to when I can stay home and can take Lucy to the shows and activities they hold at the library.

Here is Lucy watching Barney's sing-along. She love watching him.

week three with my hair

My hair is starting to settle down more and obey me when I tell it to go a certain way.  I'm still waiting for my bangs to grow out a little more, but it's good and I'm liking experimenting with it and trying new hair styles.
